I have multiple Colts, two Ed Browns and two Dan Wessons, a 9mm Guardian and CCO. The next 1911 I buy will be a Wesson V-Bob if that tells you anything. Love my Browns but no way a bobtail Brown is worth $1000 more than a V-Bob. All of my recent Colts have been sent off for "improvements" as was a Les Baer.
The Dan Wesson Valor is a really solid value buy at its price point. A better question to ask is Valor or Les Baer. Wilson guns don't compete with guns in the Valor/Les Baer class point for point, generally speaking. The Wilsons are significantly more refined - but you can't go wrong with a Valor. GunFu.
