Oct 1, 2023 · That looks like the App Pallet that debuted with Mac OS 8.5. My first personal Mac was the ti MacBook on Mac os 9, had no idea the bar was called the app pallet, felt like a widget bar when using it. Almost like a precursor to the widget bar/tray in dashboard on Mac OS 10.4.
