My BMI was 30.1 but I received medical clearance two weeks ago on the first try. No BMI questionnaire, weight loss statement, appeal, etc. So there must be more to the approval/denial equation than a sub 30 BMI threshold. There were definitely difficult times during the Peace corps but amazing times too.
