I'd agree that the 990 v3 is the go-to New Balance model here, especially among the black community. I am black, if that matters, and live in a majority black neighborhood in Baltimore so I'm fairly familiar with the zeitgeist of the community in general, and we're only about 40 miles from DC so there are some cultural similarities between the cities. As far as fit goes, the toe box on the 993 is noticeably wider, while the v5 is a bit narrower if you go with the 'standard' fit on both. Length is the same. I got TTS on both. Comfort is about the same as you'd expect from NB. The midsoles aren't plush but the overall fit (on both) is better than any other sneaker I've worn before. The minimus line seems to have shrunk to the 20v5 and the 10v4. The 20v5 is described as a cross-training shoe more suitable for gym use though from user reviews seems to be fine for running in too. The 10v4 is a trail running shoe though looks fine for road running too. 880 out of the choices you mentioned, but for me personally I find the 1080 a great running shoe, 990v5 and 993 as great premium comfortable lifestyle shoes. All four of the mentioned above are good for all day care but I don’t have personal experience with the 880 just from what I read. 574 is not a good option based on your need.

The 530s however are rarely mentioned and most of the videos or web results i found on them were for women styling options.My big question mark lingering around in my head at the moment is should I go down the path of something like a 574 or even cough up the big dollars for a 990 for a daily wearer, so my 880s stick to mainly training.. 990 all day, though fresh foam is a different feel under foot.
